If this sounds exciting, we are now looking for a Director of Analytical Development that belongs to the Department of Chemical processes and Pharmaceutical Development. The Department works with formulations and with the development of processes and pharmaceuticals. We have competence in the field of organic chemistry, analytical chemistry and toxicology. We have quality systems for the manufacture clinical trial material (GMP) and to be able to conduct GLP studies for safety assessments.
The unit Analytical Development have competence in the areas of analytical chemistry and pharmaceuticals development. We perform analyses in accordance with GMP and GLP using validated methods, as well as support for chemical process development, with analyses and expertise. The unit’s responsibilities also include QC (quality control).

About the position
As Director you will manage a unit of about 20 people. Together with the department’s management team and your coworkers, you will work through the overall objectives for RISE and create clear and concrete goals for your unit. You will be responsible for providing a clear picture of RISE’s vision and role in the innovation system. The goal is to generate tangible results, both quantitative and qualitative, and satisfied customers. You will work closely with our customers and you will help us to further develop our various offers.

You will be present and available without sacrificing your role as a representative of the employer. You will help to strengthen our capacity for innovation and research development together with colleagues within RISE and with our partners. We expect you to have a strong network in the business sector and the public sector, as well as with universities and colleges. As a Director, you will report to the Vice President and the location for the position is Södertälje.

You will have a university degree combined with an interest in analytical chemistry, experience of leading others (as a manager or project leader) and you have a business proficiency in both Swedish and English. Furthermore, it is of benefit if you have experience of leading research and/or development projects, have worked within industry and have hands on experience of GMP.
