We are now looking for a Senior Scientist in molecular biology/biotechnology to join our team in Örnsköldsvik.

RISE Processum AB is a leading player in biorefinery development. Using forest raw material as a base, RISE Processum, together with its partners, develops new green processes and products such as fuel, chemicals and materials. RISE Processum AB is 60% owned by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and 40% by Processum's Interest Association and is thus a subsidiary of the RISE Group. The company was founded in 2003 and is located in Örnsköldsvik. It offers an innovative research environment with lab, pilot, and demonstration facilities that are strongly linked to the existing industrial biorefineries in the area.

About the position
As a Senior Scientist in molecular biology/biotechnology at RISE Processum, you will mainly work on developing new improved microorganisms for new biorefinery processes targeting various applications. Building networks, writing research applications and managing projects are important parts of the job. You will collaborate with researchers and professionals not only within RISE Processum but also with professionals from companies and other R&D organizations, as RISE Processum collaborates with several companies and universities in joint R&D projects.

Who are you?
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD degree in molecular biology/biotechnology, interested to contribute to the build-up of the molecular biology platform of RISE Processum with a focus on developing new improved microorganisms for new biorefinery processes.

You should have at least 3 years of relevant work experience after your PhD graduation. You should also have experience in project management, writing research applications and building consortia with other research groups nationally and internationally.

Experience in working with genetic engineering of several different types of microorganisms is a merit. Your personal qualities are of great importance and we would like you to be a cooperative problem solver. Fluent in English is a requirement.
