Are you an industrial water research engineer and want to work with process water management improvement with us at RISE and thereby helping to meet the needs of our society? Then you are probably the one we are looking for!
Water is one of the closest and biggest challenges in the next future. The Pulp and Paper industry is one of the most water intensive industries, and therefore actions have to be undertaken to reduce even further the water consumption through process improvement and finding alternative sources.
About the position
Working at RISE Bioeconomy and Health with process water management improvement means being at the edge of the needs of the society, we need people willing to help us painting a better future where industry is not a threat for the population, and higher value is added while we reach a circular bioeconomy.
As a Researcher at RISE you will be working with a range of different research and development projects as well as carrying out shorter industrial consultancy projects regarding water management improvement. Your work will include, among other things:
You are able and willing to travel as you will be working closely with our industrial clients and other research entities in Sweden and internationally. You will be given an independent role while being part of a research team with close collaboration with your colleagues.
Location for the position is flexible but preferable in Stockholm.
Your profile
As a Researcher with us at RISE, we believe that you are a committed and driven, enjoy a high tempo environment and see solutions and opportunities rather than problems. You are well organised and have an interest in helping create new business and projects but also an ability to further develop existing ones.
You have a have a university degree within engineering and at least 2 years of relevant industrial experience. Further we require knowledge in:
Experience from the Pulp and Paper chemistry is a merit. You can also come from other sectors such as textile and food.
We value our customers and each other, so you should have a good ability to create working relationships with both. The job involves a lot of customer contact and therefore demands that you can express yourself clearly in English, both speaking and writing.
We also value process understanding, your strategic vision and broad thinking. We think further that you are creative and have the ability to bring innovative solutions to the table. While you feel confident in your theoretical skills we also want you to be able to be hands-on and meet the client in the mill where the analysis often is done.
While enjoying the collaboration with others we also want you to be independent and self-standing, finding your way forward in the problem-solving process.
