If you have answered Yes to most of the above questions, you now have the opportunity to apply for one of the jobs at Research Institutes of Sweden as a quality coordinator to the Department of Applied Mechanics that belongs to the Division Materials and Production. Within the division we have expertise in corrosion, chemistry, biology, medical technology and mechanics is gathered. We are active in product, production and material development for textile, polymer, composite, metal and ceramic. The department of Applied Mechanics has operations in generic experimental and theoretical mechanics, mechanical analyzes against specific industries. We workwith testing machines, products and components' performance and safety according to standards and regulations and according to specific customer requirements, and have large experimental resources and lab replacements. Position for the role is Borås.
About the role
As a quality coordinator you will manage strategic and tactical development of the quality work within one or more of the division's departments. You will ensure that the department(s) has/have the right portfolio of accreditations and methods to meet the business’s current and future customer requirements. To be successful with this work, a natural component is monitoring new standards and regulations/laws linked to the operations. A natural part of the work is contributing to referral responses linked to the area of quality, and where applicable also contributing to the development of new methods and standards.
You will assist in implementing new standards and regulations/laws, and ensuring that the business system's descriptions extend right through to implementation. You will also be responsible for ensuring that accreditation within the business is maintained and methods are continuously rationalised. To this end you will ensure that the business system has processes relevant to operations. You will perform local internal audits and contribute to the group's central audit programme. Participation in certification audits and dialogues with auditors and the Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment (Swedac) will also be a natural part of the work.
You will do this through a close dialogue with your colleagues within the department and the division, as well as at group level in close collaboration with the central quality and sustainability function, whereby you will contribute to the group's strategic quality development. You will become a natural part of the group's quality network, will form part of departmental management and will report to the vice-president at divisional level.
Who are you?
We are seeking someone who is passionate about driving quality development in a business characterised by a high technology content and constant development. You have a good understanding of how quality is put into practice, both in terms of delivering good quality and in the form of quality assurance. You are an energetic person who likes dialogue and discussion in order to work with colleagues to find ways of developing the business. We would also like you to hold an MSc in a relevant area and/or to have equivalent work experience, as well as an easy command of spoken and written Swedish and English.
