About the role
You will be a member of the department's management team, with responsibility to plan, manage and coordinate the development of research and business operations within the department in accordance with RISE strategies. The weighting of the role in terms of commercial assignments or publicly funded research (non-commercial funding) may vary, depending on the needs of the department or division. In this role, the main focus will be on commercial assignments. Both components merge in what we call RISE business – hence business development. You will create/initiate projects and assignments in conjunction with the units and other parts of RISE divisions, – both nationally and internationally. It is important that there be a big emphasis on collaboration across unit boundaries within RISE, with the aim of efficiently driving interdisciplinary development.
Demand from the outside world in the packaging area is huge and the need to meet this is great. A major focus for those who take up the challenge as research and business developers will thus be within the packaging area's value cycles and the expansion of RISE's overall offering.
Furthermore, you will lead the sales work in the department, and support the work with research acquisition, including planning, follow-up and implementation as needed in accordance with requirements.
