Our activities within cyber security are growing widely across RISE in basic security research and for different applications like mobility, safety, transport, industry and government and more. That is why we are looking for you that are ready to be our new research and business developer within cyber security.

About the role
You will plan, develop, support and coordinate the research and business operations in cyber security within the division and across RISE in accordance with RISE strategies. RISE conducts applied research within a number of fields and offers value-creating solutions –for sustainable growth, renewal and transformation of industry and society. One focus of RISE is the applied digitalization of industry and society to drive and show the opportunities that the technological development provides, for example through innovation management.

The weighting of the role in terms of commercial assignments or publicly funded research (noncommercial funding) may vary, depending on the needs of the department or division although there is a large focus on development the commercial side in the near term. Both components merge in what we call RISE business – hence business development. You will create/initiate projects and assignments in conjunction with the units especially the cyber security unit within the department and other parts of RISE divisions, and/or in conjunction with group-wide functions, and/or through cooperation with AoI managers. You will play an important role in the relations to external parties, in accordance with the purpose and set goals – both nationally and internationally. It is important that there is a big emphasis on collaboration across units, departments and divisions within RISE, with the aim of efficiently driving interdisciplinary development.

By leading activities, developing business relationships and participating in developing solutions and strategies for cyber security, you contribute to the development of Swedish industry so that it is at the forefront internationally and can meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders.

  • You will furthermore support the work on research acquisition and/or sales work within the department, including planning, follow-up and implementation, in accordance with requirements.
  • You will coordinate efforts cross RISE in the cyber security area.
  • You will establish and develop contacts with customers, stakeholders and partners and will foster external collaboration within the field.
  • You will represent department-related as well as RISE-wide research and assignment issues externally and internally.
  • You will develop new business models, roles and strategic innovation infrastructure within the department with focus on cyber security.

Who are you?
We are seeking someone who is passionately interested in technology and business development. You are an energetic person who isn’t afraid of discussions and meetings with customers and colleagues. You are quick at getting into new areas of technology and research and you understand how they can interact with business operations to create even greater customer benefit. We also see to that you hold an MSc or PhD in a relevant scientific field or equivalent advanced work experience in research and business development within cybersecurity or related areas. We would like you to have an easy command of spoken and written Swedish and English.
