CEO for RISE Medical Notified Body AB - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

RISE Medical Notified Body AB (MNB) is a newly started, independent RISE subsidiary aimed to become a notified body for medical devices. The company is currently undergoing the process of being approved as a notified body and the business is expected to have strong growth in the coming years.

In order for a medical device manufacturer to place its product on the European market, the device must comply with the applicable medical device regulatory requirements (MDR). When the device is deemed to meet the essential requirements of all relevant European directives/regulations for medical devices in force, the device may be CE-marked and placed on the European market. MNB is currently undergoing the process of being approved as a notified body and the business is expected to have strong growth in the coming years.

We are now looking for a committed CEO who wants to drive the establishment and development of RISE Medical Notified Body AB.

About the role
As CEO, you must understand and have interest in all aspects of the business, from strategic decisions about how the business should be financed to how we carry out our assignments. You will participate in introducing the notified body's working methods and make employees feel comfortable and able to develop. You will be responsible for recruiting and developing employees to ensure  that working methods that comply with regulation requirements are developed.

You will have overall responsibility for the activities and decisions of the notified body and collaborate with authorities, the European Commission and other notified bodies. You will report to the Board of Directors of RISE Medical Notified Body AB.

The location of the position is flexible.

Who we are looking for
To succeed in the role, you must have years of documented experience in leading operations at a strategic level and managing many different stakeholders. We believe that you have a network of contacts and broad experience in the medical device industry and/or certification of medical devices.

You are responsive and driven to deliver and you engage your employees through inspiring and courageous leadership. You have good business acumen and inspire confidence in both customers and employees. It is very important that you are a team player with a pronounced ability to collaborate.

You have a university degree or equivalent qualifications in relevant subjects, such as medicine, pharmaceuticals, engineering or other relevant sciences. You have good knowledge of medical technology and regulations and standards, such as certification procedures, certification rules and the like. You have knowledge of management systems, handling and the necessary qualification criteria in conformity assessments of medical devices as well as knowledge of impartiality and independence.

The position requires that you have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
