About the position
Within the next year we are building new research infrastructure including a high-throughput laboratory for strain development, bioreactors from 1 to 10 000 liters, and equipment for downstream processing. We are now recruiting scientists ready to join our new journey! 

As a Scientist in biotechnology at RISE Processum, you will mainly work on developing new biorefinery processes targeting various applications such as biochemicals, biofuels, biomaterials, proteins & enzymes, food & feed etc. R&D work at lab and pilot scale, building networks, writing research applications and managing projects are important parts of the job. You will collaborate with researchers and professionals not only within RISE Processum but also with professionals from companies and other R&D organizations, as RISE Processum collaborates with several companies and universities in joint R&D projects.

Who are you?
We are looking for a candidate with a PhD degree in biotechnology, molecular biology or equivalent competence that is interested in development of new biorefinery processes. Expertise in one or several research areas such as fermentation, enzyme chemistry, protein purification, high-throughput screening & data analysis, and strain development is required. Experience in writing research applications, project management, and building consortia with other research groups nationally and internationally is highly desirable. Your personal qualities are of great importance, and we would like you to be a cooperative problem solver. Fluent in English is a requirement.
