In the Material Design unit, we focus on research, development and assessments, primarily in the cement and concrete area. Scientists, engineers and project managers work together to create benefits for our customers as well as to contribute to a sustainable society. We are now looking for a Director with a confident and inclusive leadership who wants to join us in making the difference. 

About the role
As Director you will lead a unit consisting of about 15 employees.  You are responsible for planning, leading and developing the unit based on the business's vision and goals.  You work together with your employees closely with both customers and partners where you develop and build long-term relationships and contribute to the further development of RISE's various offerings. An important part is also to promote a climate of cooperation based on openness, respect and participation. As Director, you report to the Vice President and are part of the department's management team. The location for the position is Borås, Sweden.

You have a strong belief that sustainable results are created through engaged employees. You are a good communicator and ensures that expectations and messages are clarified within the team. We believe in responsive, courageous and involving leadership where you motivate, engage and coach employees to develop themselves and the business. This demands high demands on cooperation and trust.  Furthermore, it is required that you have an academic education in construction, chemistry or geology.  We see that you have deep knowledge in cement, concrete and alternative binders.
