The electrification of society is moving rapidly, and in that work, professional testing is a crucial piece of the puzzle. At RISE, we face the future by making a strong investment in safety-critical testing of batteries. Soon we will open a world-unique lab in Borås, where vehicles and batteries will be able to be tested in a reliable, safe and sustainable way. The operations here will accelerate Sweden's transition to a sustainable industry and a sustainable society. Do you want to join us on that journey?

About us
Right now, we are building a world-unique lab for safety-critical testing of batteries. The lab is part of SEEL Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory and is one of three facilities to be opened in 2023. Here we will carry out sustainable battery testing in safe and modern test environments. We carry out all phases of battery testing for our customers, all the way from analyzing their needs to testing and certification against existing standards and legal requirements. In the lab, electrified vehicles and battery packs weighing up to several tons can be shaken, pressed, cooled, cycled and exposed to fire until they break down or even explode. Everything you don't want to happen when batteries are used, we can recreate under controlled conditions and with the aim of guaranteeing the product's safety and approval before market introduction. Thanks to a completely unique cleaning facility, both smoke particles and toxic parts of extinguishing-water are taken care of, which means the highest possible environmental friendliness when testing batteries.

About the opportunities we can offer
We have extensive experience and expertise in batteries but we want to grow and welcome new colleagues. We are looking for battery expertise in various forms but are also interested in other expertise if you have an interest in batteries; the roles it may concern are, for example, project managers, test engineers or technicians.

Our work environment is fundamental and regardless of the task, you need to work for safety and quality. You will meet a range of different people and in working close to our customers you will contribute to a positive customer experience. The business is under construction and that means new exciting opportunities every week - we will all be involved in tasks outside of our normal job description. It also means that your initiatives will have an impact and you will see your good ideas realized.

We want an inclusive culture where everyone can be themselves. All ideas and perspectives are valuable and we want to empower our employees to grow and take responsibility. Diversity is important and we strive for a welcoming workplace.
