About us
Sweden is facing a transformation of the energy system, and in that work, RISE has a significant role. At the Renewable Energy unit, we work with research and development in the field of renewable energy production and electrification, from technical components and products primarily in electricity production to comprehensive concept and system studies at the national or European level. We now need more skilld experts that can support for our industrial partners, research partners, and our society in the transition to a robust, safe, and fossil-free energy systems. We collaborate with authorities, large and small companies, universities, and colleges on common challenges in the energy sector. The unit's activities are located in Gothenburg, Karlstad, Lund, and Borlänge.
About the role
We are now looking for someone who wants to work on a scientific basis with analysis and actively drive research and development forward. The focus of the position is research and development projects related to energy supply and power systems. You will work as a unifying force for RISE within the subject area, with a focus on high-quality applications, assignments, and projects. This is to channel RISE's expertise into a unique offering. You will work with research and technical development, collaborating with colleagues internally at RISE as well as with external partners. The position is located in Karlstad.
You will become an important team player in a dedicated and innovative team with high competence. We understand the importance of teamwork when it comes to new innovation, and we see you and your skills as an important part of strengthening our innovation capacity and research development in safety research.
Who are you?
You have a degree in engineering or MSc in a relevant field and have work experience as a development engineer or specialist in the field of energy. You speak and write English fluently and Swedish to a basic level. It is advantageous if you have written applications for research and/or development projects. It is also advantageous to have worked on developing and implementing energy projects or other technical issues related to a fossil-free, robust, safe, and sustainable energy supply.
To be successful in this role, we believe that you are driven, flexible, and dynamic, with a sense of generating new business and assignments for the team. Furthermore, you have the ability to work purposefully and coordinate processes. You have a scientific approach and work systematically to find solutions to complex issues together with the rest of the team.
