Project Manager in Sustainability Analysis with Life cycle Perspective
RISE is a gathering of forces for the sustainable transition that business, society, and the world need. We work with the solutions that can make a difference here and now, and with the areas of knowledge and techniques that can be crucial tomorrow.
RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and its subsidiary RISE Processum are leaders in the development of the bioeconomy and biorefineries of the future. With a unique array of research areas, testbeds and demonstration environments, we offer a comprehensive solution for the conversion of biomass into green products to replace their fossil-based equivalents. On behalf of the Swedish Government, we are establishing The Bioeconomy Arena - a hub for research within biobased solutions. This includes extensively modernising our testbeds and making a number of new investments to improve the opportunities for commercialising new solutions for a circular bioeconomy.
We are expanding the team and are looking for a project manager to join our journey together.
About the position
Together with internal and external colleagues, you will develop new research and development projects from idea to finished results. You're comfortable taking on projects that are outside of your comfort zone. You will also participate in the development of LCA activities at RISE such as common databases and customer-related, internal business processes. The location is primarily Örnsköldsvik, but other locations can be discussed.
Who are you?
To be successful in the role, you have a degree (preferably PhD) in product or service-related environmental evaluation and have previous experience of evaluating existing and future circular solutions from an environmental and resource perspective. We would also like you to have experience in evaluating industrial processes with an environmental systems perspective and social sustainability. You have excellent knowledge and practical experience of life cycle assessments (including knowledge of how to use software for LCA analysis) from industry or the public sector. We also value experience with other tools and methods for environmental, social and economic analysis.
As a person, you are analytical and structured and are motivated by developing new projects to create value together with our partners. You have a broad interest in technology in a societal perspective and want to contribute to producing knowledge and results that can be translated into action. You should also have project management experience within research and development. Experience of techno-economic analysis is a merit. You have a strong interest in, and knowledge of, modelling, project management and communication of results. You speak and write fluently in Swedish and English.
About us
At RISE Processum, we are developing the bio-based processes of the future together with the industry. Through chemistry and biotechnology, we seek to maximize resource efficiency and sustainability in the utilization of society's residual streams for new fossil-free products in food, feed, chemicals, materials, and fuel. Within our cluster activities, advice in sustainability and life cycle assessment to both large and small companies in the bioeconomy is a crucial step in the development of new sustainable concepts. Our projects range from shorter assignments to larger national and international research projects, often in collaboration with colleagues from RISE's various areas of expertise.
The company was founded in 2003 and is in Örnsköldsvik. We can offer an innovative research environment with labs, pilots, and demonstration facilities.
