About us
Center for cyber security at RISE is tasked with ensuring that our collective research, test and demo infrastructure, and domain expertise, has the greatest possible impact towards a secure and sustainable society, while enabling growth and innovation at the technological frontier. Distilling available synergies while exploring new vistas and ensuring readiness for tomorrows challenges, today, will be your mission as our new Center Director.
About the role
You will plan, develop, support, and coordinate the research and business operations in cybersecurity within the division and across RISE in accordance with RISE strategies. RISE conducts applied research in areas relevant to Swedish industry and public sector, such as mobility, safety, transport, industry, and government, and offers value-creating solutions for secure sustainable growth, renewal and transformation of industry and society.
By leading activities, developing relationships, and participating in shaping research and strategies for cybersecurity, you contribute to the development of Swedish industry and society. You will be a key part of the puzzle that secures Swedish competitiveness and that enables RISE to meet our partners’ current and emerging needs. Using your leadership skills to engage and leverage the capabilities and competencies throughout the full organisation, you will:
The location for this position is Stockholm, Luleå or Gothenburg.

Who are you?
We are seeking a leader with experience in project management with budget responsibilities, preferably experience in strategic multi-stakeholder projects and thought-leadership. Experience from working with boards, C-level and policy regarding cybersecurity is meriting but not a requirement. You have a holistic perspective and are passionately interested in technology, society and business development. You are an energetic person who enjoy discussions and meetings with customers and colleagues. You are quick at getting into new areas of technology and research and can be business oriented to create even greater stakeholder benefit. You need to be self-motivated and be able to get people on board.
We also see to that you hold an MSc in cybersecurity or equivalent relevant area. You have advanced work experience in research and business development within cybersecurity or related areas. A PhD is meriting but not a requirement. We would like you to have an easy command of spoken and written Swedish and English. Experience within cybersecurity from complex organisations and from working with total defence or defence is also meriting, but not a requirement.
