We have an open position for a dedicated master's student to join us at the Connected
Intelligence research unit, within the Computer Science department at RISE.

Goal
The goal of this thesis is to design a programming system for wearable applications that use IoT
devices to sense physiological quantities on a person’s body.

Task
The thesis work includes a literature study to gain some understanding of existing programming
systems in this domain. Center to the thesis work is the design of a programming system that
adopts a “building-block” approach, similar to Blocky or Node-RED, that allows developers to
compose wearable IoT applications that span sensor nodes, edge, and cloud devices. The
student(s) will then realize a prototype implementation to demonstrate the system in action.

Who are you?
We expect you to have good programming skills and knowledge in IoT, sensing, and embedded
systems.
