RISE department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Toxicology is looking for an inhalation physiologist/toxicologist for permanent employment in inhalation activities.
The department is comprised of many competencies, including performing preclinical safety studies and safety assessments in drug discovery and chemical development, biocompatibility, and toxicological assessments in MedTech, pharmaco/toxicokinetic assessments, bioanalysis, computational modelling, and protein analysis. The department also is GLP certified for its animal and bioanalytical studies and the organisation currently comprises 30 co-workers.
About the role
As our inhalation expert, you will lead the work maintain and further develop our inhalation activities in order to strengthen our business offerings around inhaled substances, with the needs of the customer in focus. You will review our routines concerning inhalation experimentation, carry out inhalation studies in rodents and be our expert interface with the customer. We have a skilled and experienced cadre of animal house technicians to support you in this role.

Who are you?
You have good knowledge of the inhalation field, either from academia or industry. If you have experience from drug discovery and development, this is a plus. You have a relevant university education for the area, including biology, toxicology technical sciences or equivalents, as well as practical experience either from academia or industry. You may also have experience from research and other development projects. Experience of exposure and deposition calculations is also highly valued, as well as a good appreciation of lung physiology.
