Now we are looking for a cybersecurity specialist and penetration tester who will primarily work in customer assignments, but participation in research projects may also be relevant.

About us
The RISE department Electrification and Reliability works, among many things, with research, evaluation and testing that supports the development of sustainable transport systems with a focus on safety, electrification, and automation, but also industrial products and systems with similar needs. Battery and hydrogen technology in new powertrains and energy systems are also important areas for the department.

The Safe Control Systems unit to which you will belong works with functional safety, machine safety, information safety and cybersecurity with evaluation and testing of various types of embedded systems, machines, measuring instruments, medical technical equipment, alarm systems and data collection systems.

About the role
You will be part of a group that has long and deep experience in functional security and information security where we expect you to contribute to our team with deep software knowledge and expertise in cyber security.

There will be opportunities for challenging tasks with a focus on conducting vulnerability analyzes, cyber security evaluations, software reviews and penetration tests of various products and systems. There will also be opportunities to give lectures, workshops and work with standardization and packaging of new offers.

In this role, you will be able to support Swedish industry and public sector with advanced analyzes, evaluations and tests of complex products and systems, and with the right background, you can be a key person when we expand our operations in this important area.

We are looking for a cyber security specialist with deep knowledge and experience from software development and testing, e.g. network protocols, databases and cryptography. If you are a certified ethical hacker, it’s a great advantage. You have a professional approach and enjoy analyzing and working with complex software issues. We believe that you are a positive, curious and customer-focused person who enjoys working in teams and is open to challenges. You are also flexible and like to take initiative. Since this assignment involves having several tasks in parallel, you need to be organized and have a pragmatic approach.

The area is expansive with many new players and new regulations that are developed in parallel with technology development and more and more standards that place new demands on our offerings and on our accredited operations.

Who are you?
We believe that you have university degree in software / computer technology engineering and have a few years of working experience in software development, cyber security and information security. You must be an EU citizen with the ability to meet state security clearance.

It is an advantage if you are a certified "ethical hacker" and have experience from performing vulnerability analyzes and penetration tests. You have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.

Since RISE is a notified body for a large number of standards, it is positive if you have some knowledge of one of the following standards: ISO 13849 (PL), IEC 61508 (SIL), ISO 26262 (ASIL), IEC 62443, ISO 15118, IEC 60601- 1, IEC 62304, SSF1120-1, Welmec 7.2 / 7.5 / 7.6, OIML D31 and OWASP respectively.

The work requires you to be independent, structured, analytical, and creative. It is also important that you are communicative and have the interest and ability to develop new offers and business opportunities and take responsibility for your assignments from start to finish. You are flexible, can work independently and at the same time thrive as a part of a team.
