Concept design within RISE is a new growth area and we are now investing heavily in demonstrating new findings in sustainability and circularity with new bio-based materials in focus. Working at RISE division Bioeconomy and Health provides an opportunity to contribute to the development towards a future circular bioeconomy. We work closely with industries and research organisations all over the world. Together we generate and refine research results and ideas based mainly on forest and agricultural resources. The location is in Umeå or Stockholm.
About the role
You like to work with new materials and new processes in a trans-disciplinary team. Your work will mainly be in research and development projects in close cooperation with researchers, research engineers and communicators.

Who are you?
You have relevant industrial design training or equivalent experience. You are interested in material-driven design and a have excellent communication skills.
You master digital tools, can make renderings, and at the same time you are enthusiastic about traditional craft techniques for rapid prototyping together with engineers and technicians. Experience in additive manufacturing, paper or packaging areas, architecture and/or furniture and interior is meritorious.
You master English well, both in speech and writing. You are engaged, structured, see new opportunities, enjoy creating new solutions and have a good collaborative capacity.
