About us
AstaZero, a joint venture between RISE Research Institutes of Sweden (ri.se) and Chalmers University of Technology (Chalmers.se), is the world’s first full-scale independent test environment for future road safety. AstaZero has a unique capacity with its own proving ground and digital environments creating opportunities for conducting, supporting and accelerating research and development in the transport sector. Development often takes place through partnerships and in close cooperation with vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, authorities, and universities from all over the world.

Your role
You will be an important part of our R&D department with focus on cybersecurity. At the R&D department we have several different growing agile software development teams where the goal is to create software that contributes to increased ability, both short-term and long-term, for verification testing at AstaZero. Each team has focus in different areas such as development of virtual testing environments and software related to virtual testing, development of network communication scenarios and autonomous test systems, connectivity or digital systems and test management.

You will be responsible for building up AstaZero’s cybersecurity competence and a team targeting cybersecurity activities, first in various research projects and later as services towards clients. You will also collaborate closely with our IT services to ensure that the Cybersecurity Management System is implemented in our daily work. You will participate in research projects together with industry and academia, where you will be responsible for driving cyber security activities. You will work both in our own internal development projects and in research projects together with different external partners.

In your role at AstaZero, you will work independently, while maintaining a close dialogue and collaboration with the R&D teams and project management. Your work is mainly carried out at the development office at Lindholmen, with the flexibility to, when possible, work part time from home. Some regular activities will also take place at our proving ground outside Borås.

Your profile
You are driven by curiosity and have a passion for the Cyber security area. You like challenges and are focused and committed to delivering high quality. You have a natural talent for spreading your knowledge to others. Taking initiatives and pursuing new ideas comes naturally for you.

  • You have a M.Sc. in Computer science or similar, PhD preferred but not required.
  • You have previous experience working with cybersecurity.
  • You have knowledge of ISO21434, UNECE WP29 R155/R156.
  • You are fluent in English and Swedish.
  • Driving license B is a requirement. The position is based in Gothenburg, but you will also spend working time at our proving ground.

Meritorious if you have:

  • Knowledge of programming languages like C++ or Phyton.
  • Experience working with connectivity within the automated industry.
  • Experience of Linux / UNIX environments.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal characteristics.
