Are you a researcher with a doctoral degree who wants to contribute to the development towards a circular bioeconomy? If so, we are looking for you!
RISE division Bioeconomy and Health is now looking for a researcher with a PhD or equivalent degree to be part of our team working on topics concerning durability and protection of wood-based materials against degradation by UV-light, moisture, fire, microorganisms and insects. We develop and evaluate new wood protection treatments and modification technologies, all the way from raw material via process development to evaluation of properties in labs and in the field.
About the role
In your role as a researcher, you are expected to be able to work both independently and in a team. Your work will involve the development of our activities in the area of durability, as well as the implementation, evaluation and reporting of achievements to the scientific community and to the public. As a researcher you are expected to apply for funding from external financiers, be part of our sales group and initiate new projects and industrial assignments.
Location: Borås, Sweden.
Who are you?
You are a researcher with a doctoral degree with solid experience in the field of wood science. To be successful in the role, we believe that you are structured and innovative. You appreciate challenges and are capable to handle multiple tasks in parallel. You are curious, driven and have good communication skills. We also expect that you have excellent skills in technical/scientific English, in both writing and speaking. Good knowledge of chemistry and biology is a merit.
