We are now looking for a Senior Researcher within Organic Chemistry to our team in RISE Processum in Örnsköldsvik.

RISE Processum AB is a leading partner within biorefinery development. With forest residues and biproducts as starting material RISE Processum, together with its partners, develops new green processes and products such as fuel, green chemicals and materials. Together with other biorefinery initiatives RISE Processum’s cluster with partners from industry and academia is an important part for development of new products, processes and energy solutions from biproducts from the process industry or other lignocellulosic starting materials. RISE Processum is owned to 60% by RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and 40% by Processum Interest group and is thereby a subsidiary within RISE. The company was formed in 2003 and is situated in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. RISE Processum offers an innovative research environment with lab, pilot and demonstration scale equipment that is strongly connected to existing industrial processes within the biorefinery field.

About the position
In this role you will be a part of developing our business whilst simultaneously initiating and pursuing research by active involvement in larger collaboration projects and consultancy work.

The work will be performed in a team with focus of development and building of new processes in laboratory- and pilot-scale. RISE Processum often collaborates with several companies, universities and other parts of RISE in common research projects. Building networks, writing research applications and project management are important parts of this role.

Who are you?
We believe that the applicant has an academic degree, probably a PhD, in Chemistry. We believe that you have a solid background in synthetic organic chemistry by education or longer work experience. It is further preferable if you have documented experience of project management as well as writing research applications. We put large emphasis in your personal skills and believe that you are confident and have great collaboration and communication skills. Professional level of oral and written English is a must.
