Interested in research on software engineering and data science? Do you want to work with exciting research projects that lead the way for the future? We are now looking for a development engineer to join our team in Lund.

About us
The Mobility and Systems department offers expertise in sustainable mobility in a digital society. Humanized Autonomy is a unit under the department that conducts research and innovation to accelerate the introduction of vehicle automation on our roads. Our Lund team is at the forefront of software engineering research and development. We work with topics on connected software- and data-intensive systems; examples include trusted AI/ML, open data, quality assurance, IoT security, and empirical software engineering. We perform applied research, technology transfer, and innovation through the deployment of new services and products. Results are disseminated directly to our partners as well as through testbeds, demonstrators, and scientific publications. We are looking for researchers to strengthen our presence in Lund. We want to expand our research activities with more cooperation both with regional universities as well as the local industrial ecosystem.

About the role
You will carry out projects with other team members and in close cooperation with industrial and academic partners. Your assignments will include both publicly funded research projects as well as direct assignments with industry. You will work in a passionate team with a lot of individual freedom.

Who are you?
We are looking for a development engineer with a background in software engineering, data science or deep learning. Experience from research or industry valued but not required. You enjoy both cutting edge research as well as interaction with practitioners. Your deep interest in technology is matched by your genuine ambition to apply it successfully with the end-user perspective in focus.
