MoRe Research is a part of Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) since 2019, and the company is located in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. We are now recruiting a researcher in the field of fibre and cellulose technology, to join our team. The R&D team consists of nine colleagues who together have broad and deep expertise in cellulose chemistry, pulp and paper technology, composite materials but also process- and product development. Our research focuses on new materials from cellulosic raw material (e.g. biocomposites, nanopapers, cellulosic foams) and on pulp development and fibre engineering. We are looking for a researcher to strengthen our team further.

About the role
The position means that you will conduct research and lead R&D projects in collaboration with industry, academia and research institutes, both in publicly funded projects as well as direct assignments from industry. In your role, project management and R&D work in lab- and pilot scale are natural parts of your daily work along with initiating new research initiatives, apply for funding and networking/marketing.

Who are you?
We are looking for a researcher with expertise in fibre and cellulose technology with experience in conducting own research and project leading. The applicant should have a PhD degree in fibre-and polymer technology, pulp and paper technology, wood chemistry or cellulose chemistry.

The following is a merit:

  • Experience in developing new pulping technologies and cellulose-based materials (e.g. fibre engineering, cellulose-based foams, molded pulp).
  • Demonstrated ability to write research project proposals/applications for funding.
  • Established network within academia, industry and research institute.
  • Experience in up-scaling from lab- and pilot scale to industrial environment.

As a person, we believe you are highly motivated, enthusiastic, with a team-oriented personality.

Since we often work in international projects, it is a requirement that you have good knowledge of English, both in speech and in writing. Knowledge in the Swedish language is a merit. If you don’t have knowledge of Swedish, we believe that you with curiosity, open mind and enthusiasm want to learn a new language.
