We are looking for a person to strengthen our research team Humanized Autonomy, by elaborating ideas into research proposals, managing research projects and collaborating international innovation partners. We want to expand our group with more cooperation both with Swedish innovation partners as well as the global ecosystem.

Our team in Humanized Autonomy is at the forefront of research on how humans and technology interact and communicate. We work with topics on connected software- and data-intensive systems; examples of topics are computer vision, safety of AI/ML in automotive systems, C-ITS, Human Machine interactions, traffic behaviour recognition/prediction, among others. We perform applied research, technology transfer, and innovation through the deployment of new services and products. The results are disseminated through our partnership as well as through testbeds, demonstrators, and scientific publications.

About the position
As a Senior Research Project Manager at RISE you will be leading, and working with, a range of different research and development projects. Your work will include, among many other things:

• Manage the projects at RISE Humanized Autonomy, containing a mix of publicly funded projects and direct assignments with industry.
• Driving research idea development from the group’s multidisciplinary expertise (Human and Machine perception and behaviour understandings).
• Innovation, proposal and creation of new research topics and fields.
• Leading and participating in Grant application projects and initiatives.
• Coordinating Swedish and International Consortia.
• Project Management activities such as resource planning, budget planning, project planning & execution, follow-up and reporting, etc

Who are you?
We are looking for a new colleague who is passionate about Project Management and Research Development in the area of ITS and human/machine intelligence. You should have a Ph.D. degree in Signal/Digital image processing or equivalent. We will be looking for the following competences and experiences:

• Documented experiences in coordinating research projects and applying for funding.
• Strong research/innovation background in smart mobility, data science, pattern recognition, machine learning.
• Strong industrial experience in software engineering, system architecture, project management.
• Strong leadership capabilities and experiences.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good ability to plan your own work.
• Good ability to report results in writing and oral presentations
• Experience from both national and EU funded research projects.

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden.
