Are you interested in simulation of complex composite products? Do you want to work with material model development to predict performance of composites in a wide range of environments and applications? If your answer is yes, then RISE has an interesting opportunity for you!

About the role
The structural analysis and modelling unit at RISE develops material models, design methods, and analytical tools for stiffness and strength dimensioning of advanced composite structures. We are currently looking for an experienced researcher that is a composites expert and that is  interested in joining our team at either our Linköping or Mölndal office.

Who are you?
You should have a strong theoretical background in composite materials and be capable of performing advanced analysis of complex composite structures, preferably in commercial FE software such as Abaqus, LS Dyna or Ansys. A PhD in a composites related field is a strong asset, but not a requirement. You are familiar with composite failure criteria and ideally have experience in programming subroutines in Fortran, C++, Python, or other languages. Knowledge of fatigue is seen as an extra plus. Experience in an industrial setting is meritorious, as is familiarity or expertise in simulation with other materials such as thermoplastics, rubbers, short-fibre composites, or natural fibre materials. Successful experience in writing research applications or acquiring industrial assignments is seen as an extra asset.

Are we right for each other?
We cannot promise you an easy task, but we can promise you dedicated colleagues and some truly engaging societal challenges to tackle. You will get to work in a dynamic environment offering professional and personal development opportunities. At RISE, we want you to succeed and feel good, because together with your colleagues you contribute to a sustainable future and to securing a leading position for Swedish industry and research globally. RISE can give you the chance to make a real difference. Welcome to Sweden’s Research Institute and Innovation Partner.
