About us
The Chemical Problem Solving unit is recruiting a researcher for the team in Borås, Sweden. We are looking for you who are an experienced and driven researcher in analytical chemistry, preferably within inorganic analytical chemistry. Our unit has a wide range of expertise and well-equipped modern laboratories.

About the role
As a researcher, you are expected to work cross-functionally and often with other researchers in different types of projects, contributing with high technical expertise and the ability to drive your projects forward. You are expected to collaborate with other actors in the unit by performing diverse chemical analysis, for example ICP-MS analysis. You are also expected to develop new solutions within analytical chemistry. You get motivated by applying/developing new instrumentation and new analytical methods to solve our customer problems and environmental as well as technical challenges of our society. You are expected to stay up to date on developments in areas relevant to the business and build competence in chemical metrology. You should feel comfortable writing research applications and implementing projects.

Who are you?
To thrive in the role, you need to be creative, self-driven, structured, be able to take own initiatives and be open to input from customers and colleagues. You are analytical and like to face problems that requires you to explore new areas. Technology is a big interest of yours and you enjoy practical experimental work. You have relevant experience of working strategically and leading projects. You have a good ability to communicate and write applications and reports.

  • M.Sc. in Engineering or Ph.D. degree in chemistry or other relevant education
  • 5–10 years of relevant work experience (from industry or university)
  • High scientific competence
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Experience in ICP-MS
