About us
RISE – Research Institutes of Sweden and Chalmers University of Technology jointly own SEEL – Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory, a new test and research center for electromobility, which will open on the 31st of May 2023. SEEL aims to create an arena for research and development of new technologies for electrified vehicles, vessels, aircrafts and more. The center is part of the “IPCEI (Important Project of Common European Interest) on Battery” project notified to the European Commission, and we are now looking for a Senior Operations and Maintenance specialist who will play an important part in developing SEEL.

About the role
In the role as Senior Operations and Maintenance specialist, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the test facilities that are intended for testing Electrical machines, electrical axes, e-transmissions, complete vehicles light and heavy duty, noise vibration and harshness, battery test equipment and charging systems.

As a Senior Operations and Maintenance specialist you will enter in the establishment phase where the building is under construction and the equipment has not yet been delivered to site. During this phase it will be your job to cooperate with the SEEL management team, building contractors and the equipment suppliers to secure a successful launch and a good operation. You will work close together with the management team of SEEL, set the strategy for SEELs inhouse capabilities regarding support and maintenance, and put in place relevant service agreement with suppliers.

Your will also work close with the operators of the riggs, test engineers, group members in the operations and maintenance group as well as customers.

You will report to the manager of the maintenance and support group when he or she is recruited, until that point you will be reporting to the CEO of SEEL. Your team will be located in Gothenburg and Nykvarn and your office will be in Gothenburg which is the larger of the two sites.

Who are you?
We are looking for a person with at least a high school engineer degree and we believe that you have a background within maintenance of rotating riggs and it is meritorious if you have experience from battery testing equipment and is a certified maintenance technician.
